Introducing the Metropolitan League: A New Chapter in the NPHL’s Expansion
The Northern Premier Hockey League (NPHL) is proud to announce the formation of a brand-new division — the Metropolitan League, launching under the NPHL umbrella.
This exciting addition marks a major step forward in our mission to grow senior hockey across the region. The Metropolitan League will feature its own schedule and championship, while playing under one brand, one constitution and one set of rules and values. This division and these teams represent a wonderful achievement for not only the league but also the communities from our Quebec based teams down to the Windsor area and everything in between,
Today 4 new Teams. One Bold Beginning.
We are thrilled to confirm that 4 teams have already committed to the Metropolitan League — with more set to be announced in the future. This fast-growing roster showcases the deep passion for senior hockey in metropolitan centers and surrounding communities.

We proudly welcome these new teams to the NPHL and look forward to the rivalries, moments, and memories they’ll bring to the game.
One League. Many Teams. A Shared Vision.
The NPHL is evolving into more than just a league — it’s becoming a home for senior hockey excellence across a wider region. The Metropolitan League is just the beginning of what’s to come.
